Another movie thats worth a look is called Keeping Mum. It stars Rowan Atkinson who plays the local vicar of a small english village. His family brings in a tenant and things get a bit out of sorts. Its a great movie. Go get it!

This youtube video (for those that can't see it) is an interview with Alan Rickman the director. The movie stars, among others, Emma Thompson and her actual mother Phyllida Law. This is a great study of complex relationships.
